Andrew Hewson

Andrew Hewson left theatre management to become John Johnson’s assistant in January 1969. He subsequently acquired the John Johnson Agency, which he ran with his wife Margaret Hewson from their offices in Clerkenwell for over thirty years. The agency merged with Michael Alcock Management in 2003 to form Johnson & Alcock.

Andrew’s many clients include novelists, biographers, historians, poets and playwrights, and he handles the majority of the agency’s Estates.
