D. M. Devine: 1920-1980 Dominic Devine was the author of a succession of internationally successful mystery and whodunit novels. Dominic was Secretary and Registrar of the University of St. Andrew’s and wrote thirteen books in total, under his own name (David McDonald Devine) and also under the pseudonym Dominic Devine. His first book was My Brother’s Killer (1961), and other titles include the bestselling Devil at Your Elbow (1966), The Sleeping Tiger (1968), Three Green Bottles (1972), Sunk Without Trace (1978) and his last book, This Is Your Death (1981). His book The Fifth Cord (1967) was adapted for the screen, and made into the Italian film Giornata Nera Per l'Ariete. |
