Dr. David Boyd Haycock read Modern History at the University of Oxford, and has an MA in the History of Art from the University of Sussex and a PhD from the University of London. He has written a variety of books on the history of science and medicine as well as the history of British art. He is the author of A Crisis of Brilliance: Five Young British Artists and the Great War published by Old Street in November 2009. He currently lives in Oxford with his wife and son.
